Someone I've grown to like and admire a great deal over the course of the past month told me today that in June she's going to be marrying her partner of seventeen years. By saying this, she was also effectively coming out to me, a confidence which I very much appreciated. I am very proud today to be a citizen of the great state of Massachusetts.
